Establishment of the Psychosocial Support Unit for the Office for Reparations

The Psychosocial Support Unit for the Office for Reparations was established on the 5th of January 2023 by the Chairperson, Mrs. Dhara Wijayatilake.

The establishment of this dedicated unit reflects the OR’s commitment to addressing and prioritizing the holistic needs of aggrieved persons impacted by trauma in Sri Lanka due to various conflicts.

The PSS unit will continue to expand the Case-Manager program to identify and support aggrieved persons. The unit will also launch a community-based psychosocial wellbeing program with the intention of uplifting and maintaining well-being at the social levels.
