“Access to Justice” Mobile Service organized by the Ministry of Justice under the guidance of Hon. Justice Minister and Secretary, Mr. M.M.P.K. Mayadunne  was held in the Northern Province from 27th – 30th January, 2022. The main objective of this mobile service was to extend the services of the institutes operating under the Ministry of Justice so as to ensure easy access.  The OR participated at this Mobile Service and provided its services to aggrieved persons in various means.  Awareness creation on the role of the OR was conducted for field level public officers in all five districts of the Northern Province. The aggrieved persons were facilitated to complete their compensation files that were with missing documents. The OR was able to provide documentation relief for 954 aggrieved persons at this mobile service in collaboration with respective Divisional Secretariats, Police Stations, NHDA regional offices and district Fisheries Offices. In addition, the OR also distributed compensation cheques for more than 900 aggrieved persons during this mobile service.  In support of livelihood development, OR also conducted technology transfer demonstrations on preparing hand wash, candles as well as installation of CCTV cameras at Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts.  The Mobile Service was graced by the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris and Hon. Minister of Justice, President Counsel Mr. Ali Sabry.
